this was a dreamy session…one goal of mine for my business as i move forward is to start incorporating more themed shoots. this type of shoot will undoubtedly take more time to accomplish and more money for props (for lack of a better word.) but i believe the outcome can be more artistic, and will really take a portrait session to a whole new level! what’s better than an antique bed surrounded by big trees for a session?
abby is the daughter of a wedding photographer friend of mine cristina, of cristina wisner photo. this was my second time to shoot sweet abby. those of who have been to the studio you might remember the HUGE canvas photo i have of a little girl walking in a field. that’s abby! one of my favorite portraits.

penny and josh got married just a couple of weeks ago on that random snowy day…poor penny has a knack for picking cold days for portraits because i also photographed her bridals on a day that an arctic cold front came through. all in all miss penny knows how to work it even in freezing cold weather!

before i jump in here trying to ignore the fact that it’s been f-o-r-e-v-e-r since i updated the blog, let me just say i’m sorry and there is lots and lots to share. from even before christmas!! i know it’s spring you say, but well what’s a girl to do? i still have our own personal snow pictures to share here on the blog. so maybe i’ll wait until july to share those in hopes that it might remind us of just how cold it was and how long it’s been cold
.
i love the idea of shooting “mr. & mrs.” sessions…i think they’re quite fitting if you’ve been married for a little bit and haven’t had your photos updated in a while. colleen and aaron were a blast to work with and their dog is so stinkin’ cute! and if you can’t tell these were taken in the fall. the light is just so sweet in the fall isn’t it?

so i didn’t make time to send out a personal christmas cards this year, but wanted to share a little something i threw together. zoe is so proud to be the face of our family this year
. she even got a special grooming today (which never happens because her crazy mother thinks she can do it herself) needless to say we never have pictures of her because she looks like a tumbleweed most days.

we had a little impromptu photo sess. today, pardon me for my casual look
most mothers would just be bias towards their puppies, but i’m convinced she’s the cutest yorkie pup out there

jimmy studying for his sermon he’ll be giving this sunday at church…doesn’t zoe make a cute leg statue?
i’ve decided to start taking more photos of myself for the soul purpose of not being shocked at photos of my 28.5 year old self…sheesh. you should *not* zoom in on your own photo in photoshop

MERRY CHRISTMAS FRIENDS!
great shots!
I’m with Jenni! I do believe I sat on a giant 2000…legs stretched out over the top
